Classion
Who's building this

We make the games we wish we'd had in school.

Classion is built by game designers, classroom educators, learning scientists, and people who were bored in a 7th-grade classroom not that long ago. That mix is the whole point.

Most learning games are made by game studios who bolt a lesson on at the end. That's backwards.

A game is only educational if the teaching lives inside how you play — and you only get that if educators are in the room from the first sketch, not brought in to bless it later. We are game people and school people at the same table. It's slower. It's the only way it works.

who's in the room

Four kinds of people, one table.

Every game gets shaped by all four — which is why it's fun, why it's right, and why it tells you something true.

  • Game designers

They make it genuinely fun — the kind of fun that makes a kid forget they're doing schoolwork. If a mechanic is boring, it doesn't matter how educational it is; nobody plays it.

  • Classroom educators

Veteran teachers who've taught the unit a hundred times. They know exactly where kids get stuck, and they make sure the game teaches the real idea — not a cartoon of it.

  • Learning scientists

They make the reading of a student honest — so when the game says a kid "gets diversity equals resilience," that claim is backed by how they actually played, not a lucky guess.

  • Not-long-ago students

People who remember what actually held their attention in middle school — and what was a worksheet in a fun hat. They're our fastest, most honest boredom detector.

how we work

A game earns its way out of the room.

  • Designed with teachers. Educators shape the mechanic from the first sketch — the pedagogy is built in, never taped on afterward.
  • Playtested with real students. We run every game in actual classrooms and watch what kids do, not what they say. The game changes until it's genuinely fun.
  • Held to one bar. Fun to play, honest about the concept, and full of signal for the teacher. Miss any one and it goes back to the table.
come build with us

Game person? School person? Both?

If you've built games kids love, or taught the class that everyone remembers, we'd like to talk. We're a small team and we're growing carefully.
